Position Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales Cycle Management:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, provide expert guidance on ELTRA products, and manage the full sales cycle—including lead generation, qualification, quotations, closing, and post-sale support.
Business Development & Relationship Building:
Proactively prospect and identify new business opportunities to expand the customer base, drive revenue growth, and build strong relationships with key account personnel and end-users.
Technical Consultation & Support:
Deliver technical consultations and application support to recommend appropriate equipment, conduct virtual consultations and training sessions, and represent ELTRA at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Territory & Activity Management:
Plan and coordinate travel for customer visits, product demonstrations, and trade shows; maintain accurate CRM records, including activity logs, pipeline updates, and follow-up actions; and meet regular sales targets with territory forecasts submitted to management.
Cross-Brand Collaboration & Market Insight:
Make recommendations for product improvements and marketing opportunities, identify cross-selling opportunities for other Verder brands, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize multi-brand value for customers.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or a related scientific discipline is preferred, but practical metallurgical laboratory experience or industrial sales experience will also be considered. Ideal candidates have laboratory bench experience and a desire to transition into technical sales, or proven sales experience with laboratory instrumentation and strong product knowledge.
Territory & Residency:
Must reside within the Southeast territory (NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, FL) and be willing and able to travel up to 70% of the time.
Sales & Organizational Skills:
Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required; experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is preferred.
